Calculation of cement, sand and aggregate in R.C.C Slab of 100sqft
100sqft = 9.29sqm.
Suppose thickness of slab = 10cm
Volume of concrete = 9.29x.10 =.93m3
Cement = 316.8/m3
Sand = 660k.g/m3
Coarse aggregate = 1320 k.g/m3 of concrete.
Then materials required for .93m3 is
- concrete = 316.8x.93 = 294.62 k.g = 5.89 bags
- sand = 660x.93 =613.8kg = 14.45 cubic feet
- coarse aggregate = 1320x.93 =1227.6 kg =29 cubic feet
Thumb rule for steel in R.C.C . for normal residential building
- For roof slab 80 kg per cubic metre.
- For beam it is 120 kg per cubic metre.
- For column it is 160-180 kg per cubic metre.
These all values are for the normal residential building actual value may differ in case of special design.
